    I love Ideas by Jivey! I bought her No Prep Reading and Writing Units for 40 Mentor Texts. Already did the first lesson with First Day Jitters and loved it. Our school has been doing Lucy Calkins Reading and Writing Workshop for several years now! It was quite the adjustment at first but I'm glad not to be stuck in Basal Readers now. TeacherMsH

      Me too! I bought the No Prep Reading and Writing also. I've been in school for 2 weeks already, and I've used the both sets. I did the First Day Jitters and Enemy Pie lessons. I love, love, love Jivey's resources! I haven't used our Basal reader, but I feel like I might need to. What are you having your kids read if you don't use your Basal?
